Meet the Staff at TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of North Texas

Office Administrator

Barbara has led the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Team from the beginning. Her passion for helping others through their life-changing transformations is astounding. Barbara says that the best part of her vital role is, “To be able to give people the answers they have been seeking for so long. The transformation in their faces from when they start treatment to when they finish treatment. Giving them their life back!” While out of the office, Barbara is active in her church and enjoys reading or painting. She is usually found not far from her Rescue Dog, Lucy.

Known for putting a smile on the face of everyone she meets, Christina enjoys helping people rid themselves of pain and take their life back! When she isn’t helping patients in the office, Christina can be almost always be found surrounded friends and family. Her favorite hobbies include traveling to the beach and adventuring out by kayaking, hiking, or camping. Christina is also active in her church and enjoys treating her dog, Levi, to trips to the dog park.

Since graduating from UNT with a BBA in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior, Shannen has continuously applied her skills to help patients understand their treatment options and insurance plans. She enjoys seeing patients finally getting the help they need and is passionate about expanding her knowledge. Shannen expresses her gratitude by saying, “I wouldn’t have learned so much about TMJ and Sleep Apnea if it weren’t for Dr. Krish!” In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Toby, and her cats: Aurora, Milli, and Pippa. When she isn’t with her friends she is usually catching up on Netflix shows or reading a book.

Elvira has been a crucial part of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Team as a Registered Dental Assistant for many years now. She is amazed by the ability to use new technology to allow patients to understand and gain knowledge of their underlying issues, and sincerely enjoys the relationships that she is able to build with patients while relieving their pain and improving their quality of life. In her free time, Elvira enjoys spending time with her sons and grandchildren and playing an active role in her church. She can also be found crocheting, dancing, and relaxing with music or movies.

Registered Dental Assistant

Since graduating from Kaplan College in 2015 as a Registered Dental Assistant, Melissa has helped patients with compassion and patience, as she has also suffered from TMJ. Melissa speaks out about her struggles and her role in the practice by saying, “I suffered from jaw pain, headaches, and clenching. It was unbearable. I can relate to patients who suffer from TMJ pain. Dr. Krish is so thorough and we both enjoy making our patients feel at ease and feel better overall.” Melissa doesn’t let her compassion for others end at work, either. Whether it be hiking, walking her Yorkie named Harley, or vacationing, she is almost always found spending time with her fiancé, two daughters, step-daughter, and step-son.

Marketing Coordinator

Lauren has a dynamic role in the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Team, as she works diligently to expand the community’s knowledge of TMJ and sleep disordered breathing. Using the skills gained while receiving her BFA in Graphic Design and Communications at UTRGV, she is able to educate others of the seriousness of these disorders and the life-changing treatments offered by Dr. Krish. Lauren is excited to be a part of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Team and says, “I love working for a warm-hearted, honest, and reputable practice.” These characteristics greatly represent her home life as well though, as she has expanded her language skills to become fluent in ASL and finds great joy in fostering animals to help the community. When she isn’t helping out in these areas, she is often found spending time with her family or playing with her dog, George.
